When I had my first phone call with Kristen and William, they casually mentioned how they loved hiking together. Well, fast forward a few weeks. Kristen mentions that they are moving within the next month and would have to have their engagement session done soon. While trying to decide on a location, I brought up the idea of Purgatory Chasm.

One of my favorite things about engagement sessions, is that it allows me to get to know my couple more so we aren't strangers on their wedding day. One story I was told was about the proposal. Jared planned a date night at their favorite restaurant, Red Robin.

TJ decided on Ned's Point Lighthouse in Mattapoisett, MA because his girlfriend, Brianna, loves lighthouses. He planned a day date with her to go check out this lighthouse. Upon their arrival, TJ and Brianna walked along the water before heading to look at the lighthouse.

Anthony reached out to me with the cutest idea to propose to Allie. He chose to propose at Colt State Park on the north end overlooking the bay. As they were finishing breakfast, Anthony reached into his pocket and pulled out the ring, completely surprising Allie. She obviously said YES!

Having a wedding timeline allows you to see how your wedding day will run and see if you need to make any changes to it. Below are two different timelines for the ceremony and reception. The first timeline is with a first look and the other is without.

Stephanie and Steven's Fort Taber Engagement Session had a little extra surprise. They decided to include their dog! With both of their love for the water, this was the perfect location to capture their love. Without a single cloud in sight, at the end of their engagement session the sky had a beautiful orange glow!

Katelyn reached out to me to photograph their engagement photos. After chatting with her about their vision for their session we came up with a perfect plan. We spent an hour and a half at Queset Garden in Easton. We took full advantage of the gorgeous scenery and weather.

Stacey and Peter decided to have their engagement session at Arnold Arboretum in Boston. The park hosts a large variety of backdrops of their engagement session. We spent almost two hours here and barely even made it out of the shrub and vines garden! They had the perfect autumn day for it.

Most of the time, if a couple hasn't met their photographer before it can be a little awkward and harder for the couple to open up and relax. I once heard someone say that you wouldn't have a different officiant at your rehearsal dinner than your wedding day.

Instead of postponing to another day, Adam and Taryn had the idea of doing their engagement photos in their barn. This ended up being the perfect place for them! They were completely comfortable and it really showcased who they are as a couple.
